For a little over a decade, I have been on a journey – a journey between people and pixels. I have had the opportunity to make numerous to and fro trips between the two with eventful sojourns in Defense, Telecom, Obamacare, Healthcare Payer space, Mortgage Insurance, Smart and Sustainable Cities and Virtual Reality. A bagpack full of empathy has always helped me bridge the gap between people and technology to deliver value and delight.

As with any journey, I got exposed to a myriad of experiences – from being a key designer for huge products and services like the Healthcare Exchanges, Medical Loss Ratio Products to being an analyst on a team at a Mortgage Insurance company going bankrupt; from empowering a day labor with limited access to technology find a job for the day to enabling a tetraplegic have a chance at a better life; from products producing profitability peaks to the ones needing pulling of the plug.

 Doing User Research and Product/Service Design through all these projects has definitely affirmed my faith in the significance of process and techniques of research methods and product design principles. What it has also taught me is that it’s an art, a rigorous art that you get better at with practice.
